RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To explore the rules of acupoint selection and compatibility of acupuncture for Tourette syndrome(TS) in children. METHODS: The relevant literature regarding acupuncture for Tourette syndrome in children included in CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, SinoMed, PubMed, Web of Science and Cochrane Library from the establishment of the database to March 31st, 2023 was retrieved. The information of acupuncture prescription, syndrome type, meridian affinity was extracted to set up database. The Microsoft Excel 2019 was used for descriptive statistical analysis, SPSS modeler18.0 was for association rule analysis, lantern5.0 was for latent structure analysis and comprehensive clustering. RESULTS: ①A total of 80 literature was included, and 112 acupuncture prescriptions were extracted, involving 104 acupoints, with a cumulative frequency of 859 times.②The acupoints with high use frequency were Taichong(LR 3), Baihui(GV 20), Fengchi(GB 20), Hegu(LI 4), Sishencong(EX-HN 1), Sanyinjiao(SP 6) and Zusanli(ST 36).③In the treatment of TS with acupuncture, the governor vessel acupoints were the most frequently used, the proportion of acupoints on the head, face, neck and lower limbs was higher. ④The association rule analysis showed that Fengchi(GB 20)-Hegu(LI 4) and Taichong(LR 3)-Hegu(LI 4) had the highest support degree, both were 47.32%.⑤Five comprehensive clustering models were obtained by analyzing the latent structure of high-frequency acupoints, corresponding to yin deficiency disturbing wind, liver hyperactivity and spleen deficiency, liver yang transforming into wind, phlegm-heat harassing the interior and qi stagnation transformed fire. CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture for TS in children is based on the principle of soothe the liver and extinguish the wind, regulating qi and blood, and paying attention to regulating spirit and qi. The core acupoints are Fengchi(GB 20), Hegu(LI 4), Taichong(LR 3), Baihui(GV 20), Sanyinjiao(SP 6) , Zusanli(ST 36), acupoints should be selected according to different syndrome in clinical.

RESUMO

Some patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) exhibit elevated serum creatine kinase levels, which are believed to be associated with mitochondrial dysfunction. Although a few articles have reported this situation in the past and the increase mostly ranges from 100 to 300 U/L, there is a paucity of previous study focusing on the serum creatine kinase MB isoenzyme. This article discusses a 5-year-old girl with ASD, whose serum creatine kinase and creatine kinase MB isoenzyme have been rising for nearly 2 years, fluctuating at 584-993 and 111-625 U/L respectively. Except for behavioral and language symptoms associated with ASD, the child appears normal in other aspects. The child's laboratory tests showed no abnormality, except that the serum levels of lactic acid was slightly higher than normal (1.89 mmol/L, normal 1.33-1.78 mmol/L). The child was prescribed with a traditional Chinese medicine during the process and the serum creatine kinase MB isoenzyme level decreased dramatically to 111 U/L after the treatment. This study firstly recorded the serum creatine kinase levels and the MB isoenzyme in patients with autism spectrum disorder for nearly 2 years, indicating that patients with ASD may experience long-term increases in serum creatine kinase and creatine kinase MB isoenzyme, and that the traditional Chinese medicine decoction Xinfukang can temporarily reduce the serum creatine kinase MB isoenzyme level in patients. Nevertheless, the effect is not sustained. Therefore, it is of great importance to conduct long-term longitudinal studies so as to elucidate the potential mechanism responsible for long-term elevation of serum creatine kinase level.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Tic disorders (TDs) are a group of neurodevelopmental disorders in children, while pharmacotherapy is often associated with various side effects and has limited clinical effects for some patients, thus significantly affecting patients' quality of life. Studies have found acupuncture shows certain advantages in the treatment of TDs. However, there is no high level of evidence evaluating the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for children with TDs. METHODS: Each data of acupuncture for treating TDs will be searched. We will search for related English and Chinese databases. The time is limited from inception until November 2020. The primary outcome is the reduction rate (amount) of tic severity using related scales or methods, and the secondary outcomes include recurrence rate and adverse events. The risk of bias will be assessed, and the RevMan5.3 and Stata14.0 will be performed for meta-analysis. Finally, we will assess the level of the resulting evidence. RESULTS: The results of the study will synthesize the current evidence and be published in peer-reviewed journals. CONCLUSIONS: This research aims to provide convincing evidence of the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for treating TDs in children. INPLASY REGISTRATION NUMBER: INPLASY2020110050.

RESUMO

DNA barcode technology was used to establish a rapid identification method of Chrysanthemum indicum based on ITS2 sequences. The total DNA was extracted from 22 collected samples, and the ITS2 sequence was amplified by PCR and sequenced, and the information of ITS2 sequence was obtained. Another 14 items of the same family or the same genus were downloaded from Gen Bank.We aligned all 36 sequences, calculated the intraspecific and interspecific distances, and constructed Neighbor Joining( NJ) phylogenetic tree, using MEGA 7. 0. The difference of the secondary structure between the ITS2 sequences was compared. The results showed that the genetic distance of Ch. indicum and Ch. morifolium was overlapped, but the maximum intraspecific distance was far less than the minimum interspecific distance between and among Ch. indicum and other species, with an obvious barcoding gap. The NJ tree showed that Ch. indicum and Ch. morifolium shared a clade, and most of Ch. morifolium with some Ch. indicum were shared a subclade, while Inula lineariifolia,Sinosenecio oldhamianus and Senecio scandens belonged to one clade separately. ITS2 secondary structures for I. lineariifolia,S. oldhamianus and S. scandens were significantly different enough to identify completely but Ch. indicum and Ch. morifolium shared two secondary structures of A and B. It was proved that Ch. indicum was one of the evolutionary sources of Ch.morifolium. Therefore ITS2 sequence as DNA barcode can identify Ch. indicum and its adulterants accurately and quickly. The study provides an important basis for Ch. indicum for the identification of germplasm resources and the safety of clinical medication.
